Popular retailer at busy Glasgow shopping centre announces sudden closure as ‘all stock must go’

A POPULAR retail store in a busy shopping center in Glasgow is set to close.

Several closure signs were posted at the GAME store in Braehead.

Photos shared with The Glasgow Times shows ‘store closed’ signs below that also say ‘all inventory must be out’.

There is no official closing date for the stores.

However, GAME has been confirmed to move to a different location in the mall.

And will set up shop in the new Sports Direct store.

A spokesperson for the Braehead Center said: “We can confirm that GAME has relocated.

“The brand has opened a section in the new Sports Direct store in the center.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy the new offer.”

Last month, Sports Direct’s new 20,000 square foot store opened.

It is three times larger than their previous location at the retail park.

Fashion retailer USC has closed its store in Braehead in an attempt to merge into its Sports Direct unit.
