Post Malone's awful backflip attempt leaves Twitch chat in hysterics

Music star Post Malone left his Twitch chat in hysteria after the singer-songwriter attempted a backflip after raising $50,000 during a charity livestream.

Alongside other mainstream celebrities, the 27-year-old rapper has shown a keen interest in gaming — particularly his love and dedication to Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends.

The popular music star often hops onto Twitch to stream some games from time to time when he feels like it. And its impressive fanbase of over 700,000 absolutely loves it.

His latest venture on the Amazon-owned platform was on July 23 when he wanted to raise money for the United Way charity. After hitting a major milestone and raising $50,000, PostMalone attempted a backflip that didn’t go exactly how you expected.

Post Malone streamed on Twitch with Apex Legends stars iiTzTimmy and Aceu.

After claiming he would backflip if he raised $50,000 for charity, a viewer in the rapper’s chat reminded him of the deal he made when his 37,000 viewers absolutely smashed the goal.

However, Post Malone insisted on not going through with it. “Nah, I said I’d say I’d try a backflip at $50,000,” he claimed. But the chat wasn’t going to let him off that easily.

“This floor in here is insanely hard, y’all,” he added, desperately trying to find a reasonable excuse not to. But in the end he got up and just kept going. With anticipation mounting and thousands of spectators hoping for a good try, they ended in utter hysteria.

In a move you’d see straight out of the UFC, the rapper kicked his leg up and turned around. “Did I do it? Was it close? Did it look crazy at least on stream?” he asked sheepishly as he sat back down.

Many sarcastically praised the “good try,” but hundreds of chatters couldn’t help but laugh – with laughter emotes flooding the chat.

Maybe he should practice a bit more before vowing to flip on stream. Post Malone's awful backflip attempt leaves Twitch chat in hysterics
