Pride flags stolen in downtown Burien

BURIEN, Wash. — Burien Pride said the majority of Pride flags in the city’s downtown area were stolen early Saturday morning.

The theft happened between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday. Some of the poles on which the flags were hung were also broken.

“Burien is not a city of hate,” reads the Burien Pride post.

The organization is ordering more flags with the aim of having them back up by the end of the month.
