Prince Harry gushes about the ‘joy and challenges’ of being a parent to Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, during speech

PRINCE Harry gushed about the “joys and challenges” of parenting in his speech at the WellChild Awards.
The Duke of Sussex arrived London today without Meghan Markle and spoke about the joys of being a father to Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.
Speech at the WellChild Awards: prince Harry said: “As a father of two and three children dogsSo basically five souls, I am very aware of the many joys and challenges that come with parenthood.
“And that applies to children who are not affectionate Health Challenges.
“The parent caregivers in this room have my sincerest admiration and respect.
“The level of support and responsibility you share on a daily basis is unrivaled and unmatched fail.
“You deserve all the support you need.”
prince Harry, Meghan and her two children are currently living in a £12million mansion in California after the family relocated from the UK.
Harry previously revealed that Archie has inherited his “cheeky” side and enjoys Zoom calls at work.
During an NBC interview, he shared, “What do I love about fatherhood? All of it. I like the chaos, the learning, the remembering of just every element of yourself.
“I love it, I love every part of it. I always wanted to be a father, I always wanted to have my own children and now I have two little people to be responsible for.”
He also revealed that he spoke to Archie about his late mother, Princess Diana, and that they had photos of her near their home in Montecito.
Body language expert Judi James said mentioning his children in his WellChild speech allowed Harry to show his “ironic humour” and his “authentic side”.
She said: “When he spoke about being a parent, his words and body language suggested a more realistic view of fatherhood than some of his more idyllic comments in the past suggested.”
“He grinned when he said, ‘As a father of two and three children.’ dogs I know the joys and challenges that come with being a parent.”
“His gesture of drawing in his lips indicated that he is now fully aware of all the challenges and joys.”
“This was a much more authentic version of Harry the father than he has presented publicly before.”
During the speech, Prince Harry also paid tribute to the Queen, saying he knew his grandmother was “looking down on us” – a year after Her Majesty’s death.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, jetted in London for the WellChild Awards solo – and revealed that his wife Meghan was “very upset” not to be with him.
He reportedly has no plans to see the rest of his family during his stay in the UK.
Harry has been a patron of the non-profit charity WellChild for 15 years and is expected to spend time with the charity’s winners and their families.
However, the prince is not expected to spend time with his own family. A palace insider claims his father Charles has “no time in his schedule” to see his son.
His Majesty is currently enjoying a private break in the Scottish Highlands, Charles can be seen today Drive near Balmoral.
Meanwhile, Prince William visited Pret A Manger in Bournemouth today as part of his five-year Homewards project to end homelessness.
And it also seems unlikely that Harry and his brother will get back together any time soon, according to the same source.
Prince William is believed to have been out of contact with the Duke of Sussex for months and today visited Bournemouth, 100 miles away, as part of royal duties.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are expected to mark the poignant anniversary at Balmoral with their family.
Harry is not expected to travel there Scotland for the quiet family reunion.
After the awards ceremony this evening, Harry will travel to the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf.
The visit marks the first time Harry has returned to Britain following the coronation of his father King Charles – but Meghan is not expected to join him on the UK trip.
