Prince Harry’s new book will shatter the system that led him to replace his older brother and heir to the throne, Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, will lift the lid on his row with the Prince of Wales, 40, and complain about the injustice of playing second fiddle to him.
The explosive book – dubbed Spare, which will be released next week – is set to go beyond his £80million Netflix docuseries and give a detailed blow-by-blow account of their dispute.
Prince William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales have always maintained a dignified silence in the row and will respond to the latest allegations by committing to their public duties.
William has barely spoken to his younger brother in three years.
Her father King Charles, 74, who faced crowds in Sandringham yesterday, is expected to avoid the worst of Harry’s wrath when the book is released next Tuesday.
Harry has been warned that Charles’ wife, Queen Consort Camilla, 75, is his “red line”.
A source said: “At the heart of this book lies a sibling rivalry between little brother and big brother.
“It will reveal Harry’s resentment and feelings of injustice that he has always played second fiddle to the elder William due to hierarchy and birthright.
“The argument is meant to be covered at length in the book and what makes it worse is that no outsider is divulging these private moments – it’s Harry giving his one-sided portrayal of family affairs.
“Harry and William should stick together and support each other.
“Her mother Diana always warned her that they should never fight because they would need each other. It is very sad that it has reached this stage.”
Harry left senior royals in a “state of sadness” as he spoke to Netflix about private talks at Sandringham Summit.
He also accused William of “yelling and yelling”, refusing to support claims he wasn’t bullied by his brother and claiming Charles told lies.
The book aims to delve deeper into his anger at William receiving preferential treatment for being higher up in the line of succession.
It will also show how the death of his mother Princess Diana affected him when he was just 12 years old.
The book was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist JR Moehringer.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said: “He has a very good spirit who is good at writing about feelings and I think it’s perfectly fair that Harry should talk about his mother because everyone else in the world has done it and she kind of does have taken over .
“The publisher will know that Diana is selling. And you don’t have to say too much because what he says comes from him.”
Sources close to the king claim “he loves his son very much” and the door “is always open” and there is an invitation to dinner when Harry, who now lives in California, is in the UK.
But a source told The Sun: “Camilla is Charles’ red line. If Harry trashed them, Charles could pull the plug, and Harry knows it.
“Harry had a difficult relationship with Camilla, who had an affair with his father while he was still married to Diana.
“But attacking Camilla would not go down well with the palace staff or his father, and Harry is aware of that.”

Harry is said to have already recorded a TV interview about the book with ITV News on Ten’s Tom Bradby.
It is expected to air on Sunday – two days before the book’s release.
