In court, a prosecutor confirmed that Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez were intimate before the shooting … although Meg claimed they were never intimate in an interview.
Prosecutor Alexander Bott told the jury that Tory and Megan were romantically involved and that the two feuded before Lanez allegedly shot her in the foot.
Fans were shocked because King asked Megan in an interview with Gayle King if she and Lanez ever had a sexual relationship.
“I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory,” she said at the time.
Lanez is charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The rapper was also recently slapped with an additional charge of “recklessly firing a firearm to cause bodily harm.” He denies the allegations against him. If convicted, he faces more than 20 years in prison and deportation back to Canada.
