Prosecutors want R. Kelly to serve another 25 years in prison!!
R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison, but prosecutors are asking for a longer sentence for the disgraced singer.
Federal prosecutors have asked a judge to add another 25 years in prison for his child pornography and seduction convictions in Chicago. If her application is granted, Kelly cannot be released until he is 100 years old. Prosecutors have already requested that Kelly wait to begin his sentence in Chicago until after his current 30-year sentence in New York has expired.
“The only way to ensure Kelly does not re-offend is to impose a sentence that will keep him in prison for the rest of his life,” the government filing said.
Commenting on the singer’s existing 30-year New York sentence, Kelly’s attorney Jennifer Bonjean said, “Kelly would have to defy all statistical odds to make it out of prison alive.” Bonjean added that the average life expectancy of inmates is 64 years, and recommended a sentence of about 10 years in prison.
