Prosecutors want Tory Lanez to serve 13 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Prosecutors involved in the Tory Lanez vs. Megan Thee Stallion case want the Brampton rapper to serve 13 years behind bars.
Lanez, 30, was found guilty of shooting Megan in the foot after a party in the Hollywood Hills in 2020.
Lawyers for the LA County District Attorney’s Office filed a new filing this week, accusing Lanez of provoking his supporters into publicly bullying the “WAP” rapper.
Accordingly insiderLawyers also allege Lanez recruited other celebrities to molest Megan. For example, prosecutors allege that Lanez had DaBaby “storm” onto the stage at the 2021 Rolling Loud Festival while Megan was still performing.
“To say that the defendant simply disobeyed superficial court orders would be a gross understatement,” the new memo reads. “The defendant was defiant. His violations bordered on intimidation and harassment of the victim and could potentially have jeopardized the sanctity of the trial.”
Lanez spent nearly three years “running a disinformation campaign to re-traumatize the victim,” the memo said.
Last year a Los Angeles jury convicted Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, of assault and gun possession.
A jury heard Megan was shot after she and Tory argued in his SUV after leaving a party at Kylie Jenner’s home.
During the trial, Megan testified in court that Lanez shot the backs of her feet with a pistol and told her to “b****dance” after she got out of his SUV and walked away.

The rapper testified that she required surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet and said that Lanez offered her $1 million to keep the incident quiet while he was on parole.

Tory’s lawyer, on the other hand, claimed that the shots were actually fired by Megan’s former best friend Kelsey Harris in a dispute between the two women over Lanez and claimed he was trying to stop the shooting.
During the trial, Harris said she did not fire the gun and that Lanez was the shooter.
