It’s an aspect of using a PlayStation console (and Xbox too) that users have always struggled with – especially when they make a spelling mistake.

But there is a working controller keyboard add-on compatible with PS5s that aims to eliminate these issues.

This wireless chat keyboard easily snaps onto the game controller, allowing users to plug and unplug as needed.

It has a built-in speaker and 3.5mm audio jack function.

However, some reviews say the speaker and headphone jack aren’t as good as those built into the PlayStation controller.

There is no official alternative from Sony.

Auarte’s clip-on keyboard (on Amazon) is currently the cheapest on the market at a 25 percent discount.

“It fits well and makes typing a lot easier. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase,” wrote a four-star reviewer on the digital marketplace.

Another wrote: “Plugging into the console is almost instant and the battery lasts a couple of days.”

“However, if you don’t turn it off when not in use, it will be empty in a couple of hours.

“Overall it’s a good buy for the price, but if an original keyboard accessory comes out I’ll switch to it.”
