This is the official start of pumpkin spice season, and we’re celebrating it by keeping the count of all the macho men and financiers we see in public. trying to hide their PSL after whispering order good drinks at Starbucks. Listen, friends, there’s no shame in enjoying one of fall’s greatest gifts. We are sure. And there’s a new way to do it—make (or buy) pumpkin seasoning hot chocolate bombs.

That’s right. The drinks that we saw all over TikTok last winter have now hit their fall season with them. And we are all involved in this rebranding. To make them, you do the same as how to make the classic hot cocoa bomb. First, you find a baking pan that suits your taste. Luckily for all of us, there are many surprising pumpkin choices available at Amazon. You can go the classic Jack O’Lantern route for a spooky aesthetic or stick to more traditional pumpkin patch options.

When you find a mold that fulfills all your fall fantasies (our favorites are below), we recommend buying some melted white chocolate and food coloring orange. This way, after you’ve melted the chocolate, you can mix in more colorants to create the perfect pumpkin color. When you have the right color, spread this mixture evenly on the baking sheet and put it in the freezer until firm.

Once the chocolate has hardened, you can fill it with whatever you want — candy corn, cocoa mix, marshmallows, cinnamon, whatever! To secure the cocoa bomb and all of its inner delicacies, simply “glue” one half of the bomb to the other half with melted chocolate.

Then all you have to do is put the concoction back in the freezer until you want to eat it all.
