QB Tom Brady (finger) will play despite being added to Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ injury report Friday

TAMPA, Fla. — With a finger injury that has plagued him all week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was included on the Bucs’ injury report on Friday, although his status for Sunday’s game, in which the Green Bay Packers will be played, is not endangered.

A source said Brady didn’t suffer any setback. He was obviously uncomfortable during parts of the exercises open to the media this week, but he was included in the report out of caution.

Brady suffered an injury to his right ring finger in the Bucs’ 20-10 win at the New Orleans Saints last week, but trained fully on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

“He’s ready to go, he’s in full training,” coach Todd Bowles said on Friday. “He took every pitch.”

Brady downplayed the injury when asked about it on Thursday, although he did glance at his right hand and shake it several times during practice. He even poked fun at it when he created a video tutorial for his brand TB12 on how to make avocado ice cream and pretended to chop off his finger.
