It’s been a great year for new Netflix shows. There are so many good shows this year, and if you’re looking for the best Netflix shows of 2023 so far, you’ve come to the right place.
We’re still very early in the year, but Netflix has already released some excellent new original shows this year, including Outer Banks, you, the fame, and more. There will be many more great Netflix series to come in 2023, including exciting new series and returning favorites, but we’re highlighting the great Netflix Originals that kicked off the year.

Queen Charlotte
Queen Charlotte is one of the most acclaimed Netflix series released this year and has racked up an incredible number of views on the streaming service. The series acts as a prequel too Bridgertonwith the main focus being on the monarch we first met in the parent series.
In Queen Charlotte, we meet the young queen in 1761 when she married King George III. met and fell in love with him for the first time. We also meet some other notable characters from the Bridgerton universe, like young Lady Danbury and more. In a second timeline, we meet the Queen in 1817, after the death of the royal heiress, Princess Charlotte. We still don’t know exactly when Bridgerton season 3 will come out, so it’s been nice to bring a new series to fans in the meantime.
Although Queen Charlotte Because it is an original story, not based on a book (although a book was created to complement the series), it quickly cemented its place within the series Bridgerton Canon and the fans have embraced the show with open arms. Even though it’s a limited series, many fans are hoping that more spin-off series could come out in the future. In fact, the series is so popular that it made the Netflix top 10 most watched series of all time.
