what is Quordles?

Quordles is a five letter guessing game similar to Wordl, except that each guess applies letters to four words at the same time. You get nine tries instead of six to guess all four words correctly. It looks like playing with four players Wordl Play at the same time, and that’s essentially what it is. But it’s not nearly as intimidating as it sounds.

Is Quordles harder than Wordle?

Yes, if not devilishly.

Where have Quordles I’m from?

Amidst the Wordl Boom in late 2021 and early 2022, when everyone was learning to love free word guessing games in the browser, creator Freddie Meyer said he took inspiration from one of the first big ones Wordl variations, dodle – the one where you essentially play in pairs wordless at once. He went one step further and released Quordle on January 30th(opens in a new tab). Meyer’s creation was covered The guard(opens in a new tab) six days later, and now, according to Meyer, it is attracting millions of users every day. Today Meyer generates modest income(opens in a new tab) from Patreon where dedicated Quordles Fans can donate to keep their favorite puzzle game going.

How is Quordles pronounced?

“Kwordl.” It should rhyme with “wordle” and certainly shouldn’t be pronounced exactly like “curdle.”

Is Quordles strategy different than Wordl?

Yes and no.

Your starting strategy should be the same as with Wordl. Indeed if you have a favourite Wordl Opening word, there’s no reason to change this. We propose something that is vowel-rich and includes common letters like C, R, and N. But you do.

However, after your first guess, you will notice that things get out of hand as you play Quordles just like Wordl.

What am I supposed to do in there? Quordles that I don’t do Wordl?

solve A Wordl As is well known, puzzle can boil down to a number of variations with single letters. If you narrowed it down to “-IGHT,” you could guess “MIGHT,” “NIGHT,” “LIGHT,” and “SIGHT,” and one of those will likely be the answer – although that’s also a famous way of ending up lose In Wordl, especially if you play in “hard mode”. In Quordleshowever, this sort of letter-picking is a deadly trap and points to the important strategic difference between Wordl And Quordles: In Quordlesyou can’t afford to waste guesswork unless you’re eliminating as many letters as possible at all times.

Guessing a completely random word you already know isn’t the solution, only to eliminate three or four possible letters you haven’t tried yet is seen as a desperate step into the trap Wordl. In Quordleshowever, it is a normal part of the player’s strategic toolset.

Is there a way to get the answer faster?

Through my experience Quordles can be a slow game, sometimes dragging on longer than it would take to play Wordl four times. But a kind of blunt guesswork can speed things up. The following strategy also works with Wordl If you just want the solution and don’t bother guessing as little as possible:

Try starting with a set of words that bring all the vowels (including Y) on the board along with some other common letters. We had good luck with the three words: “NOTES”, “ACRID” and “LUMPY”. YouTuber DougMansLand(opens in a new tab) suggests four words: “CANOE”, “ROCK”, “PLUMB” and “FUDGY”.

Most of the alphabet is now eliminated, and your only chance is to make a wrong guess or two when using this strategy. But in most cases you have all the information you need to guess the remaining words without making any wrong guesses.

If the strategy doesn’t help and you’re still stumped, here are some pointers:
