Raising Cane’s buys Mega Millions tickets for company’s workers

Raise Cane founder Todd Graves announced Monday that he has purchased 50,000 Mega Millions lottery tickets.

Raise Cane’s said that if 50,000 tickets are a lucky number, each company employee will win thousands based on current calculations.

The Mega Millions jackpot hit an estimated $810 million Monday morning, after 28 consecutive draws with no winners.

Tuesday night’s jackpot is the third-largest jackpot in gaming history, and only two multi-billion dollar jackpots have ever been higher against Mega Millions.

The jackpot is currently the nation’s largest ever lottery. The world record for the jackpot is still $1.586 billion, which was the Powerball prize awarded in 2016.

In a statement, raise Cane’s said the company has added more than $200 million in wages over the past two years.
