Alaric Jackson trained primarily as a swing tackle during the offseason and training camp.

Due to injuries to other players, he started on the right flank for the fourth straight season. But when Joe Noteboom was carted off the field with an injury on Sunday, Jackson switched to left tackle and veteran Oday Aboushi came in as right guard.

After the Rams gave up seven sacks in a loss to the San Francisco 49ers and five in a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Rams gave up just one sack against the Panthers.
