SunSport have told you Rangers are ready to make an improved offer to one of their top targets who have told their employers he wants to move to Scotland.

The 24-year-old played in a pre-season game against Zwolle at the weekend and scored the opening goal in the 3-1 win.

And he had hinted that his future might lie in the Netherlands.

Discussing his side’s attacking options, Danilo indicated that he sees himself as part of their forward plans.

He told the club media: “Of course we’re bringing in some new players, that was different than last year.”

“It’s always good to have good players around. We have a good team and it’s nice to play with Javairo (Dilrosun) and Igor (Paixao). It’s easy.”

“In the front area we already had a good connection in the forward area.

“Of course, this is just the beginning and we are looking to the future.”

However, despite that admission, he doesn’t appear to be showing any signs of being interested in becoming a Rangers player next season.

Devoted Light Blues fans messaged him on Twitter, keen to get him to sign up.

And those messages were NOT ignored.

He liked a tweet from a fan that said, “We want Danilo.” Danilo wants us. Make it Rangers.

Oddly enough, he also liked one that read, “And Jesus said he’ll come and join the Rangers. My son expects greatness. Ibrox is the greatest sight I or my father has ever seen.”
