Rapper Gunna is currently jailed in Atlanta jail facing criminal RICO charges – and the judge is refusing to release the rapper on bail.

And Media Take Out has learned that Gunna is not doing well behind bars. According to a family member of the Atlanta rapper, Gunna has a “bad reaction” to prison food. And the normally portly rapper has lost as much as 50 pounds behind bars.

Gunna was denied bail for the second time this week. Originally, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville denied bail for Gunna, whose first name is Sergio Kitchens, and on Thursday held a hearing on the rapper’s motion to reconsider that decision. The same judge again denied the bail request, saying she feared Kitchens could threaten or intimidate witnesses if he was released before the trial.

Prosecutors have said that Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, is one of the founders of a violent Atlanta street gang called Young Slime Life and that Kitchens has a leadership role within the gang. The 88-page indictment, filed in May, alleges the gang committed multiple murders, shootings and carjackings over a decade and publicized their activities in songs and on social media.
