Read Nate’s apology letter to Ted Lasso

The letter was never shown on the Apple TV+ series, but now fans can read it… or at least part of the 60-page letter.
Nick Mohammed wants the world to know the contents of his character Nathan Shelley’s lengthy apology to Ted Lasso… at least in part.
In the closing moments of Season 3, Episode 11, Nate was shown painstakingly designing a mea culpa that already totaled over 60 pages – which he hilariously said only needed “a few snips”.
While we don’t know for sure if the written apology was actually delivered to Ted, the sentiment was evidently conveyed in some form. However, viewers were left in the dark about the contents of the document…until now.
Mohammed tweeted the first page of the letter and noted that the photo also included the following Jason Sudeikis‘ red pen.

How the Ted Lasso series finale(?) summed it all up… and set up possible follow-up

Apologies come in all shapes and sizes, but I can only be responsible for my own. I want it to be sincere and meaningful while remaining true to myself. As I’ve found, that’s easier said than done.
you know me ted You know me better than so many people in my life. Better than my parents, who I no longer feel close to, but that’s another story. Maybe someday we’ll sit down for a beer and I can tell you. Hopefully! Sorry, I’m off topic and that’s long enough. So let me get straight to the point. It feels so strange just typing the words – words I’d like to say right into your friendly, mustachioed face – and I hope to get the chance to do just that.
Anyway, I’m sorry that I took so much time to apologize. If you are still reading this, all I can do is humbly and from the bottom of my heart thank you. It means the world to me, Ted. When you arrived at AFC Richmond, I felt like a light went on in a place I didn’t even know was dark. It was the most extraordinary feeling of being valued and respected for my own merits in a way I had so seldom felt in my life up to this point.
I’m sure you already know all this, so I don’t need to tell you, but it was all your fault. I can barely remember who I was back in what I call the “pre-Ted era,” but I definitely didn’t like this guy. OK, I’m not saying it right. I hated this guy. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had so much self-loathing inside me that it all spilled out without me even realizing it. I believe a poet once said, “Avoiding is setting yourself free, apologizing is setting everyone free.” With this awareness, I humbly come to you with a dream. A dream of what we might one day be, built on the memory of what we were minus the present of what we are today – with the hope of changing that. i lose the point I’m trying to say I’m ready to break free. To set us all free Does this make sense? Oh God. I hope so. I really hope so.
When I was a kid, my uncle used to say, “It’ll end when it ends, not sooner.” In hindsight, that didn’t make much sense, but I didn’t really realize it as a kid. I thought he was one of the wisest men on the planet just for the way he treated my father. He’s three years older, which made him the only person who treated my fearsome father like a little brother. A revelation for me as an 8 year old, as you can probably imagine. Anyway, I’ve thought about that phrase a lot since then. Everything that happened happened, and it resonates now more than ever. I hate endings, Ted. I continued dating my last girlfriend long after we both realized it wasn’t working because I didn’t want to acknowledge the goodbye. Actually it was pretty awful.
