Michael is in the midst of a divorce from his wife Ashley Darby, who is starring in the current season of The Real Housewives Of The Potomac.

The couple, who share two sons, Dean, 3, and Dylan, 1, have roiled their relationship for years due to Michael’s spousal indiscretions and rumors about his sexuality. However, Ashley said that not a single specific incident led to their divorce — a word Ashley doesn’t want to use.

“It just took a long time,” she said. “And yes, something happened that I share this season, that was kind of the defining moment that made it come to fruition, but ultimately … it just piled up, if you will.”

Ashley went on to say that neither she nor Michael use the word “divorce.”

“None of us say that. We say “separated” or “separation”. Neither of us says “divorce”. So, I know I’ve got six months left – it’s actually exactly six months since a week ago, so I’m at halftime and, yeah, it still feels really weird. It’s almost 10 years of my life. It’s 10 years of my life that I’ve been with this person, so it’s hard.”
