Can you believe it will soon be fall time again? With only a few months left in the year, it’s time to take a look at some of the best Netflix movies yet to come in 2023.
The streaming service has an extensive lineup of Netflix movies featuring big A-stars like Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Gal Gadot, Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphy, Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, John Boyega, Jamie Foxx, and many more more!
Already this year we have seen films like They cloned Tyrone, extraction 2, your place or mine, The pale blue eyeAnd Luther: The Fallen Sun, but there is so much more to come. While Netflix is probably better known for its original series, it’s fun to unwind with new Netflix movies every now and then. So grab the popcorn and check out some of the Netflix movies we’re most looking forward to this year.
TO UPDATE: On July 31st What’s on Netflix? revealed that six Netflix films have been pushed back to 2024 and appear to be off the 2023 calendar.

The best Netflix movies of 2023
From a new action movie starring Gal Gadot, to a gripping drama starring Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman, to an epic sci-fi adventure from Zack Snyder, Netflix has plenty of great movies for subscribers this year.

Heart of Stone, August 11th
Gal Gadot plays Rachel Stone, a CIA agent and the only woman standing between her peace organization and the loss of her most powerful and dangerous asset. Jamie Dornan and Sophie Okonedo also star. Netflix had had tremendous success collaborating with Gadot as an action film in the past Red notice starring her, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson has become one of the highest-grossing Netflix films of all time.
Love at first sight, September 15th
Based on the young adult novel The statistical odds of love at first sight by Jennifer E Smith, love at first sight Stars Haley Lu Richardson (The White Lotus) and Ben Hardy (bohemian rhapsody) as romantic interests in this sweet new romance.
Richardson plays Hadley, a plucky American, while Hardy is an aspiring statistics student from the UK. Hadley and Oliver fall in love on their flight from New York to London, but when they lose touch at customs, the likelihood of their paths ever crossing again seems remote. But maybe fate is on your side. Jameela Jamil from The good place And She Hulk Glory tells.
Pain Hustlers, October 27th
Chris Evans and Emily Blunt star in this suspenseful conspiracy drama about a failing pharmaceutical startup. Blunt plays a woman who loses her job and works at the startup, only to learn it’s part of an elaborate blackmail scheme. Catherine O’Hara, Jay Duplass, Andy Garcia, Brian D’Arcy James and Chloe Coleman also star.
The Killer, November 10th
David Fincher’s upcoming thriller The killer is easily one of the most anticipated Netflix movies of the year. With Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton, The killer follows a methodical killer as he awaits his next target. But the longer he waits, the more he thinks he’s going insane.

May December, December 1st
Oscar-winning actresses Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman star in Todd Haynes’ latest film May December on the remarkable relationship between a teacher, Gracie Atherton-Yoo (Moore), and her husband, Joe Yoo (Riverdaleis Charles Melton). While still at school, Gracie seduced an underage Joe, and their relationship created a media storm that even saw Gracie serve a prison sentence.
Two decades later, a Hollywood film is being made about the controversial couple, in which Portman’s character, Universe actress Elizabeth Berry, will take on the role of Gracie. She travels to her town to study the couple and learn more about them, leading Joe to reevaluate his past trauma. May December will premiere in theaters on November 17th before arriving on Netflix on December 1st.
Rebel Moon, December 22nd
rebel moon is one of the biggest Netflix movies to come out this year. Director Zack Snyder’s new film is being billed as an epic space opera about a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that must send a mysterious woman named Kora to seek help from other planets when a terrible army threatens them. The cast includes Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Bae Doona, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Anthony Hopkins and more.
