Have you ever wondered about the ins and outs of professional wrestling? It takes strength, creativity and a certain personality to take it on and put on a show. Netflix brings us a new documentary for our viewing pleasure to tell us all about it. And this is wrestler!
The streaming production is directed by Greg Whiteley, who also lent his behind-the-camera skills to Netflix documentaries To cheer And Last Chance U. Here’s everything we know about Netflix wrestler Documentaries ahead of release!

How many episodes are there of “Wrestlers” on Netflix?
wrestler comprises a total of seven episodes, all of which will be shown on the day of the premiere. Each will be an hour long.
Wrestlers Summary (What is Wrestlers on Netflix About?)
Ever heard of Ohio Valley Wrestling? The gym is known for producing some of the best and biggest wrestling stars we know today. These include John Cena, Brock Lesnar, The Miz, Dave Bautista and Randy Orton. And while it has a solid reputation for its success, the gym “has been through some tough times since,” the synopsis said.
It’s a place filled with memories for “acclaimed wrestler” Al Snow. But as the gym continued to struggle financially, he was forced to sell a majority stake to a group of local area businessmen, including Matt Jones, the “most popular” radio host in Kentucky. The new owners have given Al until the summer to try and get the beloved property back on its feet.
Documenting Al’s efforts to save the “historic gym,” the docuseries gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of professional wrestling and all the hard work and challenges that the strong male and female athletes must go through to make the sport they love.
Cast of wrestlers
It’s not 100% clear who exactly will be appearing and giving interviews in the documentaries, other than the one and only Al Snow, of course. However, based on the trailer and promotional imagery, we can also expect to hear from Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg, as well as wrestlers HollyHood Haley J, Mike Walden aka Ca$h Flo and the “good” Reverend Ronnie Roberts.
