Rihanna and ASAP Rocky welcome baby #2

Months after Rihanna’s dramatic pregnancy reveal at the Super Bowl 2023 halftime show, the singer and partner ASAP Rocky have welcomed their second child.

The “Umbrella” singer gave birth to a baby boy on August 3 in Los Angeles TMZ. The baby’s name is not yet known, but it is reported to start with an R.

When Rihanna headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in February, she revealed that she and ASAP Rocky were pregnant again by flaunting her baby bump on stage. The “Diamonds” hitmaker and the “Sundress” artist also have a one-year-old son together, RZA Athelston Mayers.

Ahead of the birth of her second child, Rihanna launched a maternity line for her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty in August — and got a little help from her firstborn along the way. To introduce the line of nursing bralettes, Love on the Brain artist RZA rocked and nursed for a series Vogue photos.

“I want to remind people that as a parent, you can still show your sexuality and feel good about yourself,” she said.

The singer hasn’t revealed if she’s working on new music yet, but she did tell Apple Music earlier this year that her live music comeback was influenced by her experience as a mother.

“There’s just something that happens when you become a mom that you feel like you can take on the world, you can do anything,” Rihanna told Apple Music earlier this year.

“As scary as [the Super Bowl] Because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge. And it’s important… that my son sees that.”
