The couple will soon have another child, but the name of the first son was unknown until today.

The Daily Mail announced the name of Rihanna’s child after receiving his birth certificate.

The nearly one-year-old is called RZA Athelston Mayers.

He is apparently named after producer and rapper RZA, who is also the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Until this information became known, it was assumed that the boy’s name was Noah.

FANS IN SHOCK

Fans flocked to social media after the baby’s name was revealed online, and many are shocked and confused at the inspiration behind the name.

One fan said on Twitter, “Rihanna didn’t name the baby after a Wu Tang clan, I understand why she tried to keep it a secret.”

Another totally denied it: “Now I fucking know Rihanna isn’t going to name the baby that…”

A third tweeted: “That’s the most Caribbean name I’ve seen in a long time. Lmfao.”

“I know rihanna let A$AP pick that damn name. She’s really in love,” said another.

GO FURTHER

She already has houses in Barbados and Los Angeles and now Rihanna is looking for a new place in Paris.

The US Sun exclusively revealed the pregnant superstar had been secretly viewing properties in the French capital in April – but chose to do so between 3am and 5am to avoid being spotted.

She was joined by A$AP Rocky on tours of two luxury properties in the 16th arrondissement near the Arc de Triomphe, including a spacious home with a garden.

One of the items is on the market for more than £2.6million, so there’s certainly no skimping on it.

A source said, “Rihanna wants her kids to be able to see the world — and what’s better than having a home anywhere?”

“They walked under cover of darkness so that they could view the houses in peace and without rushing.

“It was a little awkward for the team to show her around, but considering it was for Rihanna, nobody complained.

“The houses they look at are beautiful, but their main concern is really good security and a fantastic location.”

“They don’t spend their money on just any old house, but sooner rather than later they want to close a deal so it’s ready for the next family visit in town. Rihanna’s due date is fast approaching, but she enjoyed her vacation in France and can’t wait to return.”
