The annual event will spotlight the selfless healthcare workers and volunteers who dedicate their lives to helping others.

Now in its sixth year, the awards will be even more special as the NHS celebrates its 75th anniversary.

Sunak gave a speech at the glamorous event before presenting a major award.

The 43-year-old was also seen chatting to young hero and contestant Issy Martin.

Young cancer patient Issy could be forgiven for never wanting to see the inside of a hospital again after a two-year hospital stay.

But the incredible teenager hasn’t just raised more than £80,000 for a cancer charity from her hospital bed – she’s also vowed to train as a pediatric oncologist to help other people like her.

Issy, from Horsham, Sussex, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June 2019, just weeks before her 12th birthday.

Despite being treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital for more than four years, she tirelessly raised funds for the hospital’s cancer charity, doing everything from organizing cake sales to sponsored walks.

Brave Issy, 15, was treated by her cancer consultant at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Dr. Sanjay Tewari, nominated for the Young Hero Award.

The glittering ceremony will be hosted by Davina and sponsored by the National Lottery.

There will be celebrities including Corden, Joshua, Piers Morgan, Emily Atack, Zara McDermott, Olivia Attword, Harry Rednapp and many more all cheering on our lucky nominees.

Now in its sixth year, the awards will be even more special as the NHS celebrates its 75th anniversary.

To see the winners in full, the awards, in association with NHS Charities Together, will be broadcast on Channel 4 and All 4 on Sunday at 6.30pm.
