Roy Cropper finds himself in danger when he invites gang gang Lauren Bolton to move into Coronation Street

LAUREN Bolton is starting her new life on the cobbles on the wrong foot next week.
Coronation Street stalwart Roy Cropper is inviting her to move in, but could she make him regret it?
Over the course of his years at Weatherfield, the café owner, played by David Neilson, has taken many wayward characters and outcasts under his wing.
Regular ITV viewers will remember the fugitive Becky Granger as one of his most famous protégés.
In scenes airing next week, Roy decides to give Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) a chance at a new life – but things don’t go as planned.
The wayward teenager was a member of Griff Reynolds’ far-right group and left the pavement after the activist’s arrest.
Earlier this year, she returned to Corrie and attempted to rekindle her relationship with Max Turner (Paddy Bever).
In the recent scenes of the Manchester drama, Lauren landed a job at Roy’s cafe Roy’s Rolls.
As we pass the coffee shop, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) gives Lauren a pep talk about how to deal with clumsy customers.
When Beth Tinker (Lisa George) accuses Lauren of neglecting her, Lauren remains calm but proves her wrong.
Shona congratulates Lauren on the way she handled a difficult client.
Later, Lauren tells Max about her successful day at the café and he is genuinely happy for her.
But when Lauren misinterprets the signal and tries to kiss him, he pulls away.
Embarrassed, she storms out of the house and goes to the café, where she tells Roy that she’s made a fool of herself and wants to resign.
But true to his kind and generous nature, Roy offers her food and a bed for the night before making a hasty decision.
But Lauren isn’t used to such a grand display of kindness, and Roy is horrified when she offers to sleep with him as a token of her gratitude.
In later scenes at the café, Roy leaves a message for Shona, hoping she may have heard from Lauren.
