Russ Claims He Turned Down $50M Offer For His Catalog
Rapper Russ claims he turned down a mega deal for his catalogue.
He says the deal is worth $50 million.
“$50 million for the catalog I refuse (Facts) / I make money every second you should learn how,” he rapped, “Too Much.
The rapper then hopped onto TikTok to further explain why he avoided the deal.
“They offered me $50,000,000 for my catalog and I declined because my soul is not for sale,” he captioned a video posted to TikTok.
Future reportedly sold its catalog between $65 million and $75 million in October.
“I put everything into my music and wanted to make sure it was in good hands as I thought about the next chapter of these songs,” he said in a statement. “I’m proud to be collaborating with Rene and the team at Influence Media and making a statement that this music has timeless value. My music is my art and these songs are among the most valuable works of art of my career.”
