Russia Uses Iranian-Made Drones to Strike Military Base Deep Inside Ukraine

Russia used a suicide drone to attack a military base deep inside Ukraine on Wednesday, posing a growing challenge to Kyiv as its forces push for strides south. and east of the country.

The head of Kyiv’s military administration said six explosions were heard overnight in Bila Tserkva, about 50 miles south of the capital. Oleksiy Kuleba said the attack was carried out by an Iranian-made Shahed-136 field drone, which Russia has begun deploying in recent weeks. Rescue workers were on the scene to put out the fire and assess the damage, Kuleba said, adding that one person was injured.
