Russian Oligarch Seizes 400,000 Acres of Ukrainian Farmland, Owners Say
Immediately after Russian tanks flooded eastern Ukraine, three of the country’s biggest agricultural operators lost lands equivalent to more than twice the size of New York City.
It is not taken by the military. In all three cases, Ukrainian agricultural activity leaders said, the land ended up in the hands of the family company of a former Russian agriculture minister. Alexander Tkachev.
