On her Instagram Story, the TV personality shared a mirror selfie from an elevator at the QVC studios.

While she is best known as a panelist on ITV’s Loose Women, she is also a presenter on the shopping channel.

Ruth wore a nude jacket and jeans, accessorized with sunglasses and lugged lots of bags.

She wrote: “First day back at work!! I don’t mean to be mysterious… I just didn’t have a free hand to take off my sunglasses!! See you at 7 p.m..”

After settling into the glamor room, Ruth took a few mirror selfies with her hairdresser and makeup artist.

Her co-stars represented the show at the National Television Awards on Tuesday, but their absence didn’t go unnoticed.

Loose Women was one of the shows nominated for a Daytime Award at the ceremony.

But they were forwarded to the post office by The Repair Shop.

Ruth shared a number of her home remedies after receiving recommendations from fans.

She cooked turmeric, ginger, lemon, orange, whiskey, cinnamon and cloves in her kitchen.

Ruth warned her followers to be careful when using turmeric as it stains fingers and countertops.

“Thank you to everyone who sent me homemade remedies for this damn chest infection and cough,” she wrote.

A company had also sent her a care package full of throat lozenges.

The TV veteran was even forced to take a break from Loose Women due to her illness, which has seen her appear regularly since 1999.
