Since the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade repealed in June, more than 14 states have banned abortion and even more have restricted access, making it essentially impossible to have access to one — under any circumstances. Nonprofits, pro-choice politicians, and abortion activists are working hard to make sure we don’t go back to 1972. But what else can we do to help? Saie Founder and CEO Laney Crowell launched the Every Body Campaign, bringing together 35 beauty brands to raise awareness and funds for reproductive justice.

Brands like Elf Cosmetics, Glow Recipe, Herbivore Botanicals, Megababe, Nécessaire, and others took their best-selling product and packaged it in a limited-edition “Every Body Green” box, inspired by the “green bandanas and smoke present during abortion and human rights demonstrations.” ‘ Said Saie. One hundred percent of proceeds support reproductive justice in partnership with SisterSong, a national activist organization dedicated to protecting those hardest hit by anti-abortion legislation and promoting voting for pro-choice political candidates.

“Our mission at Saie is first and foremost to feel good and do good for people and the planet. Period,” Crowell said in a statement. “As a mother of two daughters, I could not sit back and feel helpless when our rights were at stake. I am grateful and encouraged that so many like-minded brands jumped at the chance to join, partner with and contribute to The Every Body Campaign. It is our responsibility to use our platforms to advocate for the right to govern our own bodies and create incredible change.”

It’s important to note that blacks and browns are disproportionately affected by abortion bans. Monica Simpson, General Manager
SisterSong’s director said in a statement, “Women of color in states with restrictive abortion laws often struggle against multiple layers of oppression that affect their ability to access health care and make decisions about their own bodies. The Every Body Campaign is putting the great beauty at the forefront of the fight for reproductive justice by turning its platforms into battlegrounds that offer a unique way for consumers to organize against anti-abortion laws. SisterSong is dedicated to protecting our human right to physical autonomy, and the funds raised through this campaign have the power to transform the lives of thousands.”
