San Bernardino sheriff’s deputy shot in Rancho Cucamonga

A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy was shot dead early Sunday morning in Rancho Cucamonga, the sheriff’s department said.

The shooting happened after the deputy responded to an 911 call at Sycamore Court around 12:00 p.m., the department said. The deputy was taken to a hospital.

The person who allegedly shot the MP has been taken into custody, the department said. The suspect was not injured.
