Saudis turn to Firmino after Ronaldo snub

With just a few weeks left until the January transfer window opens, there are plenty of rumors about who’s going where. Transfer Talk brings you the latest in rumours, rumours, comings, goings and of course deals done!

TOP STORY: Al-Nassr confirms Firmino’s interest

With Cristiano Ronaldo After denying reports of transfer talks involving Al-Nassr, the Mirror says the Saudi club are turning their attention to the Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian is out of contract in the summer and while Liverpool are keen to keep him beyond his current contract, Al-Nassr is hoping to land a coup by negotiating a pre-contract agreement in January.

Firmino has been a key player for Liverpool since arriving on Merseyside seven and a half years ago, but the recent arrivals of Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez have affected his playing time.

The 31-year-old has scored seven goals in 13 league games this year, plus two goals in the Champions League and eight assists in all competitions.

The Brazilian may feel he has more to offer at the highest level but a record payday could be tempting.

United’s interest in PSV Eindhoven in the form of 23-year-old Gakpo is clear, but they are also said to be monitoring 21-year-old Ramos, who has rocketed to the top of the Portuguese forward line in the latter stages of the World Cup, scoring in the 6-1 win a hat-trick against Switzerland.
