Scarborough Breaks Down Recent Poll Showing DeSantis Beating Trump

This main season has given Donald Trump the opportunity to showcase the power of his brand. But his chosen candidates don’t do all that well. He supported the losers at Charles Herbster, Janice McGeachin and Madison Cawthorn. Mehmet Oz is narrating and Herschel Walker has faced constant controversy.

Trump’s loss could be Ron DeSantis’ gain. A recent straw poll conducted in Wisconsin showed the Florida governor leading the 45th President. During a performance Monday morning, Joe Scarborough explained why that might be the case.

“You look at what happened in Nebraska,” the host began, “the Ricketts political machine crushed Donald Trump in Nebraska. You look at Pennsylvania, they’re in a race right now. Looks like they’ll be recounting now. Two out of three voters in the Republican primary in Pennsylvania voted against Donald Trump’s choice. Now you go to this straw GOP poll. You know, straw polls might not mean much, but they do work at Donald Trump’s party.”

Scarborough continued, “What my report found was that another conservative group was also excited about Ron DeSantis, in part because they were so tired of Donald Trump. It would be the Murdoch side of the conservative movement, telling those close to them that they are fans of Ron DeSantis and have had enough of Donald Trump.”
