Ariana Madix’s Vanderpump Rules co-stars have some thoughts on their latest boyfriend.
Following her dramatic split from Tom Sandoval, the reality star moved on to Coachella in April with a New York-based fitness trainer named Daniel Wai. In an interview with E! NewsHer friends Scheana Shay and Lala Kent have been open about whether or not they have given Wai their seal of approval.
“From the way I’ve seen the way he treated her, honestly – not even at the beginning of her relationship with Tom – I’ve ever seen her be so radiant when he’s around, when she’s talking about him,” Scheana gushed, saying that Ariana has “the best energy” when Wai is around. “It was really incredible to see her so happy.”

Although Lala has yet to meet Daniel in person, she confessed that she’s noticed a noticeable change in her best friend since her nine-year relationship with Sandoval ended when his month-long fling with Raquel Leviss came to light.
“The way she talks about him, her energy is just completely different,” enthused Kent. “I’m so happy for her because as an outsider, I’ve observed her and her relationship and just really felt sympathy for her.”
The Give Them Lala podcast host claimed she believed Ariana’s relationship with Tom was sapping her energy long before the cheating scandal in March.
“This person she’s with, Sandoval, sucks her dry, just drains her energy and smothers her fire,” she explained. “It was really sad for me to see that, and I think a big reason our friendship between her and I waned a bit was because I just didn’t like her boyfriend. So to see her with this new man where she just seems to be light and full of life, it’s inspiring.

This isn’t the first time Lala has praised Madix for wanting to move on with her new man.
In an April episode of her podcast, the reality star was more than positive about Ariana’s newfound relationship with the fitness trainer.
“She’s like, ‘Heartbreak what? i am solid I’m shagging a handsome man,'” Kent said, before revealing that Madix is ”freaking successful” in both her career and her love life.
“Her way of looking at it is, ‘Look at my life. I’m happy,'” the Bravolebrity continued. “She said, ‘Wow, I’m not scared anymore. That’s weird.’”
Kent noted how happy she is now that fans “can finally see Ariana the way I’ve always seen Ariana.”
