Scorpio Sky retains TNT Championship on AEW Rampage, attacks former partner after the match

The defending TNT Scorpio Sky champion took on Frankie Kazarian on this week’s AEW Rampage.

The two stars have been members of the group in the past, with their group being called SCU (SoCal Uncensored). Among other achievements, the duo became the first Champion of the AEW World Tag Team in 2019. However, at the end of 2021, SCU dissolved, with their last match being a loss. before The Young Bucks.

Scorpio Sky proved to be a man of few words as he gave Kazarian his promised title this week. An intense match ensued, with the two former teammates fighting to the death for victory.

Dan Lambert and Ethan Page interfered in the match, resulting in Kazarian’s loss. When Scorpio faced off against Man of the Year after the match, Ethan forced the champion to choose a side. This resulted in Scorpio turning on his old teammate and starting a Kazarian defeat.

Dan Lambert also called Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti, who were in the stands. They quickly burst into the ring with the steel chair in hand.

The pair were seen peering down the Man of the Year award as the show aired. Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the Spanish God will challenge for the TNT title again in the future.

Scorpio Sky recently complimented AEW star coworker Sammy Guevara

Although the two stars engaged in a heated confrontation on screen, the defending champion TNT gave Sammy Guevara high praise.

The feud between the God of Spain and Scorpio Sky has resulted in a lot of title changes back and forth over the past few months. Besides the intense fights that the two have had, they also often exchange heated words on social networks.

In an interview on Throw down w / Renee & MieshaScorpio stepped out of his onscreen character to compliment the former TNT Champion.

“Besides the competition, Sammy Guevara is an incredible performer. He always goes out and puts on a great show for his fans and he doesn’t care about his body. He always wanted to get ahead of himself. He’s the type of guy you’d want to be in a ladder match, especially since his main concern has always been collisions and fires. ” [H/T]
