CONCRETE, Wash. – Crews will search Monday for a plane with two men on board that went missing en route to Arlington.

The Cessna plane departed Concrete City Airport at 2:12 p.m. Sunday, according to the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office learned at 7:50 p.m. that the plane did not show up at Arlington as expected.

The Washington State Department of Transportation has detected a “faint” tone from the emergency location tracker on the plane. However, the audio was not clear enough to conduct a ground search.

The Airforce Rescue Coordination Center also said there was a ping from the plane from Grandstrom Road near Lake Cavanaugh.
