Second man arrested in connection with ‘murder’ of man found dead in Glasgow flat

A SECOND suspect has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of a man who was found dead in a Glasgow flat.
Stuart “Fondy” Williams was found dead on Glenisla Street in the city’s Tollcross area last month.
On Sunday, June 25, rescue workers rushed to the street after an alarm went off around 5:05 p.m.
When they arrived they found the 50-year-old badly injured and tragically he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is understood that Stuart was living at his mother’s flat at the time.
A 51-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the death but was later released pending further investigation.

And now police have confirmed that a second man has been arrested in connection with the death.
The 54-year-old is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.
The investigations are still ongoing.
Back then, forensic teams were seen scouring the crime scene for hours looking for clues after his death.
They were seen cleaning the apartment and building while officers searched drains and emptied trash cans in the area.
After an autopsy, the police confirmed that his death is classified as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A second man has been arrested in Glasgow in connection with the death of 50-year-old Stuart Williams.
“Mr Williams was found seriously injured at around 5.05pm on Sunday 25 June 2023 at a property on Glenisla Street.
