Secret plane button that gives you more space – and even flight attendants love it

A WOMAN has revealed a hidden button that can give passengers more space on flights.

Airplane cabins are among the most uncomfortable places to sit, especially when it comes to long-haul travel.

However, there are clever ways to create a little more room to stretch out if you just know where to look.

One of these is located on the armrest of the aisle seats.

Many people prefer to sit in the aisle seats rather than by the window or in the dreaded middle seat because it allows them to stretch their legs into the empty space next to them.

However, some of these people get angry because the armrest on the aisle side can get in their way and spoil their comfort.

Most armrests on airplanes can be raised normally without having to press any buttons, with the exception of the aisle-side armrests, which often appear to be held firmly in place.

That’s not quite the case, as Tiktokerin Rosie Doal revealed (@arosieworld).

In a videoShe showed that there is a button hidden in the armrest hinge.

Passengers simply need to find this button, which then allows them to raise the armrest and either make themselves more comfortable or stand up into the aisle much easier.

Although it’s a very simple trick, many people were unaware and thanked Rosie for her video, including a flight attendant who said they wanted everyone to know.

One wrote: “You tell me that now after 10 years.”

Another said: “We came back from Tenerife the other day and I’ve tried everything…thanks Rosie.”

A third added: “I’m a flight attendant and I’m trying to show as many people as possible that the struggle to get up is so real.”

Rosie isn’t the only one demonstrating how to make economy class seats more comfortable.

TikTok user and wedding photographer Sophia Savage revealed another secret trick during a flight with her partner.

Sophia, known on TikTok as sophiasavagephoto, shared her hack on social media.

Then she reached behind her boyfriend, grabbed the headrest and bent it into a more comfortable sleeping position.

At the end of the video, her boyfriend smiled and put his head in a much more comfortable position.

Meanwhile, another woman went to great lengths to make the flight more comfortable – even shocking a flight attendant.

And a former flight attendant revealed the best seat on the plane.
