Semi rollover blocks NB I-5 off-ramps to West Seattle Bridge

SEATTLE — Emergency crews responded to a first-half collision that completely blocked the way out of I-5 north to Spokane Street and the West Seattle Bridge, according to reports. Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
WSDOT Traffic tweeted about the collision and the closure of the shortcut just before 8:30am. WSDOT is asking drivers to use an alternative route and to be patient as crews work to clear the scene.
Washington State Patrolman Rick Johnson said the driver of the pickup was “all right,” but a long delay is expected.
WSDOT is asking drivers to exercise caution after snowfall Wednesday night left roads potentially frozen on Thursday morning.
Before you go over the mountains, make sure to check the pass conditions as there can be closures and sometimes a leash may be required.
The Washington State Department of Transportation may close one or both directions of the pass if inclement weather or a collision necessitates closure.
