Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Bay area county

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for North Central Polk County Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS said residents in the area could experience gusts of up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail.

The weather agency added that strong winds and hail could cause damage to vehicles, roofs, partitions and trees. Warning in effect until 8:15 p.m. Sunday

Residents in Davenport and Loughman are expected to take on the worst of the storm.
