A SEX attacker broke into a woman’s home via the attic, then tied her to a chair and attempted to rape her at knifepoint.

Karan Pullock, 37, has been described as a “really dangerous” person after attacking the victim at her home in Hackney, London.

A court learned that Pullock entered the victim’s apartment through an attic on June 30 last year.

When the victim returned home later that day, he noticed that the blinds had been drawn and that his dog was unusually quiet.

Then Pullock came out of a darkened room armed with a knife and grabbed the woman.

She tried valiantly to fight him off, but he overpowered her before putting a knife to her throat.

The sick perpetrator then threatened to kill her as she continued to scream in terror.

Pullock then took the terrified victim to her bedroom, where he tied her to a chair and demanded money.

He began cutting the victim’s clothing off before sexually abusing her and attempting to rape her.

Shortly thereafter, Pullock called Met police and confessed to the incident, prompting officers to rush to the scene to arrest him.

Pullock, from Hackney, east London, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and will be placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.

He pleaded guilty Jan. 18 to counts of attempted robbery, attempted rape, sexual assault and death threats.

The victim said: “There are days when I have trouble getting out of bed. I no longer recognize the person I used to be. I wonder what is the point where I no longer have the confidence to live like I used to.

“Living in a city like London and being scared all the time feels hopeless.

“I am a grown woman who is now afraid of the dark. I’m embarrassed to make plans to meet up with friends or clients and have to take care of them.

“In the winter months this is basically impossible.”

Detective Sergeant Matthew Cooksey said, “Pullock is a truly dangerous individual who, for no other reason than his own gratification, planned a horrific attack on the victim.”

“I’m glad he pleaded guilty and saved the victim from having to relive the experience in court.”

“He will now spend a considerable amount of time behind bars. We work hard to prevent violence against women and girls and we will continue to remove these dangerous offenders from the streets of London.”
