Shadow and Bone Season 2 isn’t coming to Netflix in February 2023

With the passing of another month, it means we are once again without our beloved shadow and bone. Fans of the Grishaverse series are eagerly awaiting the next season. And unfortunately it won’t come this month.

Netflix shared its list of releases for February, and the fantasy series’ second season isn’t among them. Although the next few episodes aren’t out yet, at least we have some details to get us going.

We know we’ll see the return of favorites Mei Li as Alina, Archie Renaux as Mal, Ben Barnes as Kirigan, Freddy Carter as Kaz, Amita Suman as Inej, Kit Young as Jesper, Danielle Galligan as Nina, and Calahan Skogman as Matthias and many new characters!

The show may not be here this month, but its arrival is very soon indeed. When does the series premiere?

Netflix announced that the second season of the series is set to premiere Thursday, March 16, 2023 with eight episodes. So we don’t have to wait until our favorite series is back!

In the second season, Alina and Mal are on the run as some believe in them, while others see the magic wielder as a traitor according to the synopsis. General Kirigan is back and will not let anyone stand in his way as he recruits a new army of “seemingly indestructible shadow monsters” and new Grisha soldiers. But Alina is determined to defeat the Shadowfold and save Ravka.

Elsewhere, the Crows are jumping at the opportunity to mount a deadly heist while grappling with new alliances, old rivals, and old grudges, Netflix shares. And her journey will lead her right back to the Sun Summoner. Also, the streamer teases a “shocking, potentially life-shattering family secret” in store for Season 2.
