Shakira takes thinly veiled swipe at ‘empty’ ex Pique with sultry hip-thrusting lip-sync video sending fans wild
SHAKIRA took to Instagram to give her ex Pique a dig as she drove fans insane with her sensual, hip-swinging dance moves.
In the clip, the Colombian pop star can be seen lip-synching her song “Copa Vacia” while wearing an orange tank top with straps and skinny jeans.

Posing for the camera, the 46-year-old flaunts her stunning figure and iconic dance moves while singing the chorus to her song, which translates to “Empty Cup.”
The superstar sent her fans into a frenzy as she thrust out her hips and gave viewers a sideways glance at her curves – all while delivering a cheeky jab at her ex.
She lip-synched the words, “It’s been a while since I’ve been thirsty for you, I don’t know why.”
“I want more and want to drink from an empty cup.”
The chorus is repeated twice as Shakira demonstrates her sensual dancing skills – she seems to describe her relationship with Pique as an “empty glass” from which she cannot drink.
With the post garnering over nine million views, attentive fans spotted the secret message and flocked to the comments to leave their thoughts.
One wrote: “Pique is crying right now.”
Another said: “I don’t know what Pique had in mind messing with her but the guy really screwed it up.”
A third commented: “Pique lost that woman!?”
But it’s not the first time Shakira has lip-synced to Copa Vida on Instagram, as earlier this month she shared a clip of her dancing in tight black leggings and a crop top and reciting the lyrics in a bedroom.
Copa Vacia was released in June, with Shakira transformed into a tied mermaid for the stunning music video.
At the time, she revealed on Instagram that the song had a symbolic meaning for her.
The singer said the mermaid represents her because she is “on a journey to becoming one with herself again.”
Shakira noted that the mermaid “makes many sacrifices for love and ends up in the garbage among rats.”
The She Wolf singer threw another dig at Pique following their public split, joking, “Any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental.”
The video shows the mother-of-two transforming into a stunning mermaid with pink locks while trapped in the sea.
The single with Manuel Turizo is about wanting more in a relationship that feels like drinking from an empty cup.
But Shakira has retired from the sea and relocated to West Hollywood, California, after she and Drake were spotted discreetly leaving the same afterparty “just minutes” last week.
Since then, the two sparked dating rumors and fans went wild after photos of the duo were released.

However, Pique was filmed earlier this month telling “Nobody” fans to “shut up” at a Madrid nightclub after partygoers started shouting Shakira’s name.
This reportedly led to Pique taking up the trolling and saying, “What’s up? I’m the world champion and you’re nobody.”
Then, former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas appeared and seemed to make matters worse by asking the DJ to play Waka Waka – which was of course sung by Shakira.
Shakira and Pique, 36, ended their 11-year romance last June before he then officially became official with his new girlfriend Clara Chia, 24.
Spanish media claimed that Pique cheated on Shakira, but this has never been confirmed.
