The woman, whose identity has not been released, returned to her apartment in the Paris suburb of Livry-Gargan on July 9 before making the grisly discovery.

When she entered her apartment, she found a low wall that had been erected in her kitchen while she was away.

According to local reports, the wall was a meter high, 1.5 to 4.9 feet long and 5.7 inches wide.

The woman also noticed a strong bleach stench on the wall and dozens of creepy flies buzzing around.

Since the crime scene seemed suspicious to her, she immediately called the police.

Officials arrived at the house and punched a hole in the low wall.

Then the cops noticed the nauseating maggots and other creepy crawlies swarming around a blanket, obscuring something inside.

After tearing down the rest of the wall, the police found the body of a man who had been placed in the fetal position.

The victim was wrapped in plastic and found in an advanced state of decomposition.

Authorities are now reportedly awaiting the results of an autopsy to identify him and determine his exact cause of death.

The autopsy is to take place at the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office on the northern outskirts of Paris.

The matter is being investigated by the Seine-Saint-Denis Police, a French department based in the metropolis Grand Paris.

The homeowner told police that she only knew the couple by their first names and that the husband should make some reforms while she was away.

On July 10, local authorities said there had been no arrests so far.

This comes after the body of a young woman was believed to have been found immured in a wall nine years after her disappearance.
