Silo: The promising sci-fi series that just got its life extended

Apple TV+ has shared some great news for viewers who are currently enjoying one of the most promising new shows of the year.

Subscribers have been enjoying the dystopian mystery series for six weeks silowhat stars Impossible Mission And dune Actress Rebecca Ferguson.

The series, based on the books by Hugh Howey, is set in a 144-story underground city whose inhabitants are totally isolated from the outside world, believing that if they leave it they will die within minutes.

However, Ferguson’s character Juliette uncovers a conspiracy first uncovered by characters David Oyelowo and Rashida Jones in the suspenseful first two episodes. In the following episodes, Juliette’s life is in danger when she threatens to reveal her discovery.

While Silo is committed to pushing a story beyond 10 episodes, there’s no denying the potential for the series is huge – and Apple TV+ agrees: the series has officially been renewed for a second season.

Other actors in the series are Geraldine James, Tim Robbins, Common, Will Patton and Harriet Walter.

The season one finale will air June 30, with season two expected to arrive in 2023.

After the news of his renewal, silo is a must for sci-fi fans – and another strong showing for Apple TV+ following the release of a series titled “successor for wine drinkers” and Platonica new romantic comedy starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne.
