Skip Bayless to Charles Barkley: Stop threatening me or I’m going to the police!!
Sports commentators Skip Bayless and Charles Barkley don’t like each other one bit. Now Skip claims he may have to go to the police if their feud doesn’t end, Media Take Out has learned.
Charles Barkley has occasionally crossed the line in the two men’s feud – by threatening to physically hurt Skip for his hot takes. Charles recently joined Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on their All The Smoke podcast, in which he blasted Skip for his relentless criticism of LeBron James. The Fox Sports host responded to the latest episode of The Skip Bayless Show with an interesting take.
“Charles has been shooting at me for, I don’t know, 20 years? On various platforms, including his own on TNT’s Inside the NBA, Bayless said. “But at least this time, for the first time, Charles didn’t even ‘k-word’ me at all. This time, for the first time, he didn’t even say he’d like to ‘kill’ me like he’s done so many times.”
In one of his first podcast episodes, Skip detailed his long-standing feud with Barkley. Skip says he kindly requested that the NBA analyst stop making physical threats, claiming they scare his wife, Ernestine.
During a 2021 episode of Inside the NBA, Barkley threatened to put the Fox Sports host in a “body cast,” and during a 2005 interview with The Washington Post, he said he’d like to “kill” Bayless . Barkley didn’t use the “K-word” in all of his arguments with Bayless, although it’s certainly arguable that even a physical threat is too much.
“He has to be given his credit for holding back this time,” Skip said after Barkley didn’t threaten to kill him on the All The Smoke podcast. “I really appreciate it. That’s progress. Thank god for small favors. Thank you Charles Barkley. I also want to thank Charles for being so faithful to watching Undisputed. Charles Barkley might be our biggest fan!”
Later in the podcast, Skip hinted that if Barkley continues to threaten him, he may have to go to the police.
