Martha Stewart recently talked about her unlikely friendship with rap legend Snoop Dogg in an interview.

Martha Stewart’s direct messages may have been flooded following her historic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover incident, but she hasn’t heard from anyone in particular.

Stewart, 81 years old, attended SI Swimsuit launch party in New York on Thursday night, where she explained that Snoop Dogg didn’t congratulate her on her achievement.

“Snoop is not,” Stewart told Extra when asked if the rapper was involved. “Well, his office contacted me. Snoop still hasn’t said anything. I think I’ll get a bunch of roses or something… nada… Where are you?”

“To spy!” Stewart said excitedly while pulling out her phone during her SI interview. “Let’s see. ‘Love you! Come now,'” she read aloud and laughed.

“Well, Snoop was on my show, and what’s really captivating about Snoop is, first of all, his chuckle. He giggled in a very, very good way,” recalls the cover model.

“And his academic quest! He’s a real student, and that’s what really attracted me.”

The former cooking show star went on to reminisce about other moments the two have shared together, including when they sat next to each other at the “Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber.”

“All he did was smoke, and everyone was in such a good mood… we all grilled each other. And luckily, Snoop’s secondhand smoke really helped me a lot,” added Stewart.

“It was so exciting because I just felt, ‘Okay! I will go with the flow here.’ After more than 6 billion views around the world, it turned out to be one of the best and it strengthened my relationship with Snoop.”

In 2008, rapper “Gin and Juice” appeared on “The Martha Stewart Show” as a guest. After whipping up some mashed potatoes, Snoop Dogg returned the following year to bake macaroons.

Since then, Stewart and Snoop Dogg have collaborated on a number of projects including, co-hosting Puppy Bowls, VH1’s celebrity cooking shows “Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party” and “Halloween Is Delicious” by Snoop and Martha”.
