Soaring number of porn addicts hooked on OnlyFans are seeking help

A record number of porn addicts are seeking help after becoming addicted to OnlyFans content.
The number of those who want to wean themselves from the dirt has increased by 25 percent.
In England alone, numbers are up 15 per cent from 8,506 in 2022 to 9,840 this year, while in Wales numbers have risen from 267 to 339 over the same period.
In Northern Ireland there was a 66 per cent increase – from 168 to 280 – in those who turned to the UK Addiction Treatment Group.
It was worst in Scotland, however, where the number of those reporting problems with porn addiction rose 170 per cent from 584 to 1,582.
The results, shared with The Sun on Sunday, follow a spate of stories about OnlyFans, the subscription site that allows anyone to share explicit content.
Last week we told how Britain’s first OnlyFans millionaire Dannii Harwood, 41, clashed with her ex over ownership of a £1.2million house and flat.
Earlier this month we reported that former Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona, 42, has survived bankruptcy after making a seven-figure fortune on the site.
Nuno Albuquerque, head of treatment at the UK Addiction Treatment Group, said the pandemic has pushed more users to get online.
He added, “We are seeing more and more people than ever seeking help with their porn addiction.”
“This could be due to the increasing popularity of online access to porn and sites like OnlyFans where users feel they are enjoying exclusive, intimate interactions with hosts.”
