Some earbuds can support two voice assistants at the same time. Last year, the brand introduced its own assistant, Skull-IQ. Skull-IQ is primarily about audio control, including managing your media player, adjusting device settings, and answering or rejecting calls. It can also be started by voice command. For almost everything else, however, you need a different assistant. That’s where it comes in.
The dual voice assistant feature was announced during an Alexa developer event. It’s not clear when it will be available for Skullcandy’s earbuds. Other voice-enabled platforms also offer multi-assistant experiences with Alexa, such as B. NP1 from Pioneer.
Amazon is expanding Alexa in other ways. They are developer tools that allow app and device makers to create Alexa routines and suggest them to users. Amazon sees the move as a step toward realizing its vision of a more autonomous smart home.
