Southampton star Che Adams lined up for immediate £15m Premier League transfer return with three clubs circling

EVERTON have joined Nottingham Forest in the hunt for Southampton striker Che Adams.

The Scotland international is due to leave St Mary’s this summer but could cost up to £15m to do so, despite having only one year left on his current contract.

Adams, 26, scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances in all competitions last season but failed to save Southampton from relegation to the Championship.

Adams, who is also of interest for Burnley, arrived from Birmingham for around £15million in 2019.

And he revealed how “disheartened” he felt when the Saints went under – even playing with an injury to help their doomed attempt to stay up.

His lengthy post on Instagram read: “This season has been the biggest challenge of my career and I think that goes for everyone involved at Southampton Football Club as well.”

“We failed and definitely fell short of everyone’s expectations and for that I cannot put into words my disappointment and also my sympathy.

“I’ve given my all for this club since I first walked through Staplewood and St Mary’s on July 1, 2019, but this year it wasn’t enough.

“Me and everyone at the club will learn from the mistakes we made this season.”

Southampton could also lose arguably their two best players to the Prem giants.

Liverpool are clear favorites to sign Romeo Lavia despite reported interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The 19-year-old Belgium midfielder has a net worth of around £50million.

And Chelsea are said to have spoken to the Saints about Tino Livramento’s signing.

The Blues sold right-back 20 to South Coast Club in 2021 for £8million.

The England Under-21 star would now cost around £38million, although it is rumored he could be immediately loaned back to Southampton for next season.
